HISTORY
Beginning her career at an early age in South Australia, Melinda Menzies has perfected her craft performing a wide range of genres including blues, rock, cabaret, jazz and country.
Melinda and her blues band ‘Blind Henry’ had a dedicated following in South Australia and Victoria in the nineties and released a successful album, ‘Talking Braille’ recorded at the ‘Woodstock’ studios of Joe Camilleri.
Mel also fronted the dynamic South Australian cabaret band ‘No Alibi’, Gold Coast 3 piece 'The Perfect Fit' and worked with 'Cashville' the sensational Johnny Cash-June Carter tribute show.
CURRENT
Currently Mel is taking audiences by storm fronting the 6 piece classic rock combo 'Microphone Blonde' as well as continuing her solo career, performing with recorded back up instumentation. This allows her to perform in more intimate venues and gives her the ability to tailor a set list specifically aimed at your needs, preferences and budget.
